Winter Shards – Annecy

“Éclats d'hiver” is a five-minute video mapping show that celebrates the beauty and magic of winter, a season when the world seems to pause to offer a spectacle that is both dreamlike and poetic. This project explores the many facets of winter, from its intense cold to the subtle warmth we seek, inviting the viewer to rediscover a season where peace and poetry reign.
The façade of the Notre-Dame de Liesse Church is adorned with a dazzling white, while the moon's rays give it a crystalline appearance. Bare trees embrace the lines of the architecture, giving rise to imaginary vegetation; the wind and icy waters freeze the decor, while stained glass windows tell the story of winter like sacred scenes from a natural mythology. The project frees itself from the laws of nature, oscillating between symbolism and surrealism, to amplify the emotions that this season arouses.

Each tableau is meticulously choreographed, following the rhythm imposed by a delicate and subtle soundtrack, which underlines the calm and poetry sought in this visual experience.
"Éclats d'hiver" is an invitation to dive into the very essence of the winter season, where the harshness of the cold is combined with the sweetness of poetic contemplation.
